About This Practice Mode

Most BPO companies use a 60-second typing test during initial screening. The commonly expected standard is 35 WPM with at least 90% accuracy. This mode replicates that format so you can practice under similar conditions. Note that actual employer tests vary β€” some companies use different passages, timing, or scoring methods.

How to Interpret Your Score

A good score for this mode: 35+ WPM with 90%+ accuracy is the commonly cited BPO data entry benchmark. Chat support roles often expect similar standards.
Why accuracy matters more than speed: BPO employers typically score on net WPM β€” errors are deducted. A fast-but-inaccurate typist often scores lower than a slower but precise one. Accuracy-first practice is the most efficient path to improving your net score.
What repeated errors tell you: If you consistently mistype the same keys, your fingers have not yet built reliable muscle memory for those positions. Slow down on those specific keys during practice.
What to improve next: If you are below 35 WPM, practice General Mode first to build muscle memory, then return to this mode. If you are at 35+, try 10-Minute Stamina to build consistency.
