Roles that commonly require this performance level
Content writing tests clarity, structure, engagement, and SEO awareness. Good content uses active voice, short paragraphs, and logical flow that keeps the reader moving through the piece.
Structure and flow: Professional content follows a clear pattern: hook, context, main points, conclusion. Each paragraph should have one idea. Transitions between paragraphs should feel natural, not forced.
Audience awareness: Content written for a technical audience differs from general readers. Matching vocabulary, complexity, and tone to the target audience is commonly the highest-weighted scoring dimension.
The opening sentence determines whether the reader continues. Lead with a surprising fact, a question, or a bold statement — not "In this article, we will discuss."
Each paragraph should make one point. If you find yourself writing "also" or "additionally" in the same paragraph, split it into two.
"The team completed the project" is stronger than "The project was completed by the team." Active voice is clearer, shorter, and more engaging.
If a sentence sounds awkward when spoken, it reads awkwardly too. Reading aloud catches rhythm problems, run-on sentences, and unclear phrasing.
What makes good content writing?
8,000–Corporate writing is the common benchmark for BPO back-office roles. Insurance and banking roles may require 10,000+ KPH with 97%+ accuracy.
What score do content roles require?
Most positions commonly require a composite score of 80+ with strong grammar (80+) and clarity (85+). Structure and tone are secondary but still evaluated.
Is content writing different from copywriting?
Yes — content writing focuses on informing and educating (blogs, articles, guides), while copywriting focuses on persuading (ads, landing pages, sales emails).
